This motor is primarily applied in drilling projects where the use of drilling fluid is restricted or environmentally sensitive. It is widely utilized in underbalanced drilling (UBD) and managed pressure drilling (MPD) operations for oil and gas fields, especially in low-pressure, low-permeability reservoirs and depleted reservoirs to avoid formation damage caused by fluid invasion. Additionally, it is suitable for drilling operations in environmentally sensitive areas such as desert oases, offshore protected zones, and farmland regions, where the zero-discharge of drilling fluid can minimize environmental pollution. The motor also plays a critical role in geothermal well drilling, coalbed methane (CBM) development, and shallow gas well drilling, as well as in emergency rescue drilling projects that require rapid drilling with clean power medium.
